Five signs your website is costing you enquiries

A redesign should solve a commercial problem—not simply make the colours newer. These signs reveal when the website has become a barrier to trust and growth.

01

Your value is difficult to understand

A visitor should quickly recognise what you do, who it is for and why your approach is worth considering. If the homepage relies on vague claims or internal jargon, visual polish cannot rescue the decision.

A redesign is justified when stronger positioning and information architecture would make the business easier to understand and remember.

02

The next step is unclear

Important pages need a deliberate path toward enquiry, booking, purchase or further research. Competing calls to action, hidden contact details and unexplained forms create hesitation at the moment attention should become action.

Clarify the primary journey and explain what happens after someone makes contact. Predictability builds trust.

03

Mobile performance feels secondary

A service website must be fast, readable and convincing on a small screen. Oversized assets, awkward navigation, layout shifts and tiny controls cost attention and can weaken organic performance.

Test real pages on real phones and slower connections. Prioritise the journeys that lead to revenue rather than chasing a perfect laboratory score.

04

The content no longer reflects the business

Offers, audiences and proof evolve. An outdated website creates a gap between the company people encounter online and the company they meet in a conversation.

A redesign should update the content system as well as the interface, making services, evidence and insights easier to maintain.

05

You cannot measure or improve it

Without reliable analytics, conversion events and search data, decisions become guesswork. A modern rebuild should establish measurement without compromising privacy or loading unnecessary scripts.

Define success before design begins, then review qualified enquiries, landing-page performance and user behaviour after launch.
